Join us on Thursday, June 29th at the corner of 17th and O Street, NW for the kickoff event of the "2nd Annual Movies by Moonlight at the First Baptist Church of Washington D.C." for the blockbuster "Spiderman". Movies start at 8:30 PM.
This is the first of five nights of entertainment and fun throughout the summer that will not only bring the community together but benefit some of the great organizations that serve the homeless in our area. The showing of "Spiderman" will benefit First Helping which is the street level outreach project of DC Central Kitchen that helps thousands of homeless in our neighborhood each year. All donations collected throughout the night will go directly to support the work of this great organization.

So bring a lawnchair, a blanket, and enjoy a night under the stars with your neighbors for a good movie and a great cause!

It was Sunday morning I was have a nice time going up to First Baptist when I found that the person of the back door was away and it was a hot day... The First Door was close and I needed to find away to contact anyone to get in out of the heat... But a staff memeber was in and let me in. I gone in and took some picture of the church.

I whated to get a picture of the choir when there was up there. I tryed to turn off the flash and never did get a picture of them... only I wish I can put a picture of them in my First Baptist Church Book.
For the last three month I been putting together a book of my church Calvary Baptist Church and First Baptist Church and it was coming together find... But the First Baptist book didn't had any picture of the place or event. On the day I became a associate memeber I taken picture of some of the thing that when on.
I hope I can get the picture of me and Jim when he was information a new member of First Baptist. Will Short... But the first hymn that they sang in the choir I some how drop the metal offering plate on the floor. It on tape you can buy it at First Baptist Church. Just ask for the July 2, 2006 sermon and ask for the complate sermon. There two one just the sermon for the people who what the sermon... And there some people who what all the complete sermon like me. I like to keep a memory of the First Baptist that Sunday...
